Nemea Night is on hold for 2017, but we'll be back and ready to share all of our exciting updates in December 2018.
Nemea Night is a festive and informative event held in December of each year in honor of the Nemea Center's donors. This event includes a reception with Mediterranean-style morsels and Nemean wine followed by an illustrated lecture in which Dr. Shelton reports to donors, faculty, and students about the recent activities of the Nemea Center that were made possible by our donors' generous support.
This year, Nemea Night will not be taking place because Dr. Shelton is away on research sabbatical. Next year, however, we will be back in the Alumni House on the UC Berkeley campus during the month of December to share our team's progress for both the 2017 AND 2018 summer seasons - - and we will have A LOT to share, so we hope you'll come with both physical and intellectual appetites! As always, donors can expect to mingle with students (both undergraduate and graduate) that have worked in recent excavation seasons and/or in the Nemea Archive. There will be time to share stories over Nemean wine as well as to hear about the team's amazing accomplishments.
The Alumni House is located on the south side of the UC Berkeley Campus; east of the Haas Pavilion, north of Zellerbach Hall, and southwest of Dwinelle Hall. The nearest off-campus intersection is Bancroft Way and Dana, which is just downhill from the intersection of Telegraph Ave and Bancroft Way. See you in December 2018!
