Archaeological investigations in the Nemea Valley and in the Argolid have been underway since the mid-to-late nineteenth century. Before that, many European travelers visited the regions and created paintings, journals, and other impressions that have been useful to scholars (not to mention beautiful!). There's so much to explore - much more than can be captured here - but, to start, use the menu on the left as a tool to situate you in the scholarly landscape. We've also organized direct links to publications about our four current field projects on their respective pages: Petsas House at Mycenae, the Mycenaean cemetery at Aidonia, the prehistoric settlement on Tsoungiza Hill, and the Sanctuary of Zeus at Nemea. Some of the publications we've shared were authored by previous researchers, others by the Nemea Center team. Check back regularly as we continue posting new publications!
