David M. Wheeler is Lecturer of Ancient Mediterranean History and Culture in the Department of Classics at UC Davis. His research lies at the intersection of archaeology, performance studies, and ancient ritual: he investigates how embodied practices, mortuary customs, and reperformance shape social memory in the Late Bronze Age Aegean and New Kingdom Egypt.
